This bull elephant strides out across the plains giving a feeling of isolation and simplicity. A photograph in time perhaps where if nothing is done to preserve these animals in their natural environment, we will be watching these lonely figures drifting across the landscape. ‘Last Man Standing’ was the first elephant photograph which I put to print soon after it was taken in 2015. The simple framing and balance of the photograph inspired many of my future prints to come.
