FAQs
What is an Open Edition print?
The Open Edition range is printed using a matt Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper - Photo Rag Smooth 308gsm. Prints are produced with a digital signature but are not hand signed or numbered. The print run for this range is not limited.
What is The Signature Line?
The Signature Line offers a number of Tom's most recognisable photographs as special edition pieces, available in a limited print run of ten prints in two larger sizes. Signature Line pieces are printed on a matt Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper - Photo Rag Smooth 308gsm.. The pieces are both hand signed and numbered by Tom and come with a certificate of authenticity which includes the name of the piece and edition number.
Which edition number will I receive when ordering a photograph from The Signature Line?
On ordering a special edition piece you will receive the next available edition number in that series. When placing your order you are very welcome to request an edition number if a particular number has more relevance or meaning to you.
Do you offer prints mounted and framed?
We do offer both the Signature Line and Open Edition prints mounted and/or framed. If you wish to discuss your bespoke framing options please email info@tomway.co.uk.
If I wish to frame the print myself what would you recommend?
When mounting and framing the larger prints we recommend having these dry mounted to avoid any rippling in the paper, especially if they are being exhibited in a room with high fluctuation in temperature. When we frame the pieces ourselves, we also use TruVue glass which is both anti reflective and UV protective completing the framed print with the upmost quality.
Is your full catalogue of prints online?
For The Print Store, Tom has chosen only 30 prints to be exhibited for Open Edition, of which only 15 of those to be exhibited as Signature Line prints. If you have seen one of Tom’s images elsewhere (e.g. his Instagram gallery), and this does not feature on this website, please send us a message and we can look into adding a further print to the range.
What print sizes do you offer?
The size of each print is listed on the product pages. The longest edge is shown at the exact size whilst the shortest edge is rounded to the nearest 0.5cm. If exact mm is required before delivery please contact Tom. We print each image with a white border for signing and also so that the framer can handle the paper without damaging the print itself.
How long does it take to receive my print from the point of ordering?
Generally from the point of order we ask that you allow 14 working days until the print is dispatched. You will be notified if there is any significant change to this. Please do be aware that around the festive seasons our printers and framers become extremely busy and orders may take a little longer than usual.
What is the delivery process?
Prints arrive securely flat packed via courier ready to be mounted and framed.
What is your returns policy?
The prints are made to order and so unfortunately we are unable to offer returns.
What if my print arrives damaged?
We take great care in flat packing our prints to ensure they arrive with you safely. However, in the unlikely event your print has arrived damaged in transit (and this can be proven before opening) we will replace the print as soon as possible. Please do notify us within 7 days of receiving your order if there are any damages otherwise we cannot make a claim through the courier company. Please note that it is important with Signature Line pieces that despite being damaged, both print and certificate of authenticity are returned to us to be destroyed to prevent a run of ten becoming eleven.
