The giraffe can provide even the most accomplished photographers which compositional issues. With their immense height it can be difficult to compose a pleasing image without incorporating other distracting elements. By using a longer lens and composing a photograph close to the head, my aim was to show the viewer the character, detail and textures of our tallest land mammal.
